What to do when verification results don't match expectations.
Email Shows Valid But Bounces
Possible reasons:
- Catch-all domain - Server accepts all emails
- Full mailbox - Mailbox was full at delivery time
- Greylisting - Temporary rejection
- Recent change - Mailbox deleted after verification
Email Shows Invalid But User Confirms It Works
Possible reasons:
- Aggressive spam filtering - Server blocked our check
- Firewall rules - Verification blocked
- Custom mail setup - Non-standard configuration
What to Do
- Re-verify the email (results may differ)
- Check the detailed response fields
- Look at the quality score, not just status
- Consider the domain type (corporate vs. free)
